The weekend was nothing special, but the 3 days before that was out of
this world - doing the Sani2C adventure :)

We had beautiful days with no rain, but the same can not be said about
the nights and the preceding days; so we had plenty of mud and nice,
slippery single-track through the forests. On one bend, my rear wheel
slipped out of control causing me to crash into a tree. Fortunately I
hit it with my head, so no real damage was done :)

A new section called "Murray's meander" on the second day let the
adrenaline flow furiously: Three kays down a slippery, winding single
track cut out of the mountain face going down into the Umkomaas
valley. Make a mistake on this and you will stop a far way down the
cliffs!

What really struck home this year, was the variety of trails and
environments you encounter: district roads, jeep tracks, single track,
curved floating bridges, grass fields, mountains, valleys, rivers,
high ridges full of flowers, steep downhills and uphills some more
technical than others.

Hey, I can go on all day long. Let me just say, this is something
every serious MTBer should do at least once; if you can resist not
returning the next year! But how do you get in if there is a 95%
return rate? Ask me, I have an almost foolproof way of doing it, but
only when not too many people know about it.
