This is it guys. Last call for the Singletrack and Nguni events. Entries must be in by the 1st of June. The race starts in the Battlefields region of KZN sometime on the morning of Saturday 13th June. Race briefing is via the internet on Thursday 11th June. All maps are pre-plotted and will be issued as required. Race cut-off for both events is 2:00pm on Monday the 15th. We've managed to minimise leave required to almost nothing. Travel to the start is around 3 - 3.5 hrs from JHB/DBN and Bloem. No plotting required. Route planning can only happen when you get the maps - so no late night planning sessions. We will be feeding you the night before the start. Can anyone think of any other reasons why you're not coming to race? Come on guys - entries have been pretty poor. I know how it is after a Bull year. We're all tired and jaded and just want to focus on the small easy stuff. You haven't done much training etc, etc. But any experienced racer out there no matter how unfit can finish the Nguni. You have 2.5 days to race 120km. And for the inexperienced racers out there - you have 2.5 DAYS to race 120km. That's 45kms a day for heavens sake. I'm really excited by the race I've got planned for you. It's the kind of route that I wish I was able to race. Does anyone remember what rave reviews the last Singletrack in the Transkei got? I think this route may be better. Come and play.
