Lots going on the (long) weekend of 24 september 1. the SA orienteering championships in Sabie, thursday, friday and saturday, leaving you with afternoons and the whole of sunday to go play in the sabie-forests with your mountainbike.
2. the mankele 3 towers mountinbike staged race, which promises the best in singletrack and technical riding. like stage races go, this is a team event. entries close 30/6, that's next tuesday. *http://www.mankele.co.za/races.asp* * DAY 1:* Mooifontein Look Out Tower (07:00 Start) 75km's of rolling mountains, amazing scenery, fast flowing single track, bush tunnels and disc burning descents. *DAY 2:* Rooiwal Tower (06:00 Start) 80km's of leg testing climbs. The first 25km's will leave you doubting your fitness but then the fun starts. Warning smiling wrinkles may occur!! *DAY 3:* Mount Carmel Tower (06:00 Start) 50Km's of flat out fun. The ultimate way to finish a weekend of mountain biking. The last 20km's will make you quit your job and become a full time mountain biker *ENTRY FEE & PRIZE MONEY:* Entry fee per team R3, 800 (Cycle Lab) with a limit of two hundred teams (400 riders). 3.
