I have lots of cubs (OK, 3) but they have lots of friends, so I
continually had to bow out of going on organised rides 'cos I went to
kids' parties :-)
So of course, it was acertained that I had to supplement my meager
income (to support the bike of course...) by moonlighting as a clown at
the aforementioned parties... I even almost invested in size 97 sycling
shoes...
Popular theory has it that this is the reason I endo'd on Eugene's race
at Pelindaba - my shoe got stuck in the spokes :-)
The 24th is the day before my firstest one, so it has been decreed (by
swmbo) that it shall be the day of the party.
Thankfully the FreakyClown moniker was dropped :-))))

Unfortunately, the whole I'm not doing SabieX is that I
won't be fit (dislocated AC joint and all... betterish now, but my
endurance is shot to hell...)
So the SabieX preride will be worserer :-)
On the original topic (that being the Sammy Marks 6
hour) I won't be able to do it :-(
If there are any lurkeres from the (now very quiet but
once very active) Spinman group, they should be able to guess why :-)
(Hint: it has to do with why I'm called the Clown...)

then there's always the sabieX preride. no need for partners, R100 a
day, same tracks and possibly less mud ... 30 october - 1 november.
not to be confused with the berg & bush descent
which is the next weekend (and, as rumours have it, which may form part
of the JoBerg2C route) - clashes with the rogaine, unfortunately.

hectic racing month.
7th + 8th is Rogaine, 14th and 15th is
94.7, and 28th is either
Noon2Moon or MTB O at Protea ridge, plus
of course the 6 hour at Sammy
Marks on the 24th Oct.
