I don't think I should tell anybody exactly *HOW* nice Groenkloof was this morning after the bit of rain during the night. So I won't. But just to give a slight indication how it was: Almost no mud. No dust anywhere. Cool, clean air. Green grass and leaves. Soft, flowing singletrack EVERYWHERE. Wow. It was the first time I rode a new / old section: Lemme try and explain. If you do the normal loop, and decide to bypass Onion Hill (don't ask OK) then keep to the left close to the fence, at a point there's a split in the path: to the left there's a lekker steep rocky descend, to the right it throws you over a couple of nice technical turns before you get to a water crossing. I usually ride this last one. Just for variety, take the drop-off, do the small water crossing and enjoy the new trails, bridges and big old root along this path ... I haven't done it in a long time, and someone has really built a nice trail along here... more than one wooden bridge, short but flowing, then eventually it throws you out next to the Groenkloof entrance.
