That puts the count at 4 bike jackings this past weekend :( ------ Myself and a friend went MTB'ing in the open veld between the M18 to olifantsfontein and the R21 this past Saturday. On a good day you can clock up to 65km, it is absolutely awesome. However, we fell victim to a trio of thuggs that carefully created an ambush. We were chasing down a single track that originates from between the two koppies and ends up at the corner of the concrete works a bit behind the Irene train station. You cannot see clearly around the corner and the next thing the three aholes jumps in font of us pulling knives. We also had pepper spray, but wha t can you do, all you see is the knife. We were so quickly surrounded, you just co-operate to ensure that the pointy end of the knife does not enter your flesh. No MTB is worth leaving my family fatherless.
