Hi Cobus,

Glad you got the wheels! Mario helped me to get back on the bike after my 2nd
hijack episode. He has an excellent knowledge and a passion to get people on
bikes. A good guy to know and a good friend!

See you on the dirt with it!

Hi all,
I found myself a niiiice bike and will hopefully take delivery of it
tomorrow... Nicolai has a contact down in Cape Town that helped (and swayed)
me a lot J I am getting myself a Giant Anthem X3 – looks good on paper and I
can’t wait to give it a go!

O, yes. I also bought a Thule bike rack from someone on Junkmail.

Thanks again for all the help/info from this forum!

Subject: Re: [D&D-chat] In the market for mountain bike and Thule bike rack

I've got GT dualie that I mostly used to church and back.
On tar.
With the sun shining, but not too warm.
Mostly.
And: it's a LARGE.
The complete frame is around one year old, so it still shines pretty.
The rest of the bike has a bit of history.
Oh yes, brand new SLX brakes and pedals.
And a carbon stem. I think. I still need to fit it. It'll need more spacers.
Fork needs serious attention.
Rear shock has some missing parts. Well, it technically doesn't have those
missing parts.
To be honest, the bike might have seen some dirt. More specifically, dirt of
the wet kind. Once or twice.

OK but seriously now, be careful; GT "large" is Silverback "XL" or even "XXL".
Bike sizes differ. So you really need to know what size of what brand you want.

You can get some really nice Silverbacks for R15k.

Or check http://www.ChainreactionCycles.co.uk and make sure you don't order a
complete bike, but make a couple of orders with the different parts...
otherwise you'll be hit with a 50% import duty. It's still worth it, though.

Hi,
I’m looking for dual suspension, disc brakes etc to the value of R15k. Large
frame.

Also need a bike rack - I prefer Thule. Either the back plate on the towbar
RideOn-type or 3 bike towbar type.

                Thanks
