Ride report:

Driving to the ride last night I must admit I was a tad nervous, I have done
a fair deal of riding in the dark, but never on a MTB. But upon arriving at
the mall started relaxing as I realised that there is one objective on these
rides – having fun.

What made things a little easier was the fact that I often rides the routes
that we did. Just yesterday morning I had done the single track down
Cornwall, so sort of knew what to expect, it is amazing how different it is
at night though. The regular stops to make sure that everyone is ok is
great, the constant chatter and laughing tell you these people are enjoying
themselves. When I heard Ghost ride I thought that there is bound to be
someone falling, but nobody did, not even meJ. It is amazing how the human
body can adapt, after a few minutes it feels no different to how a ride
would feel in daylight or with the light on. Last night also reminded me
that riding your bike is a great way to meet new people, and to get to know
people better. I would never have thought that I would say it but is was
actually such a relaxing enjoyable experience.

Thanks for a great ride and you will most certainly see me again.
