This Sunday's ( 3rd April ) caving trip is a return to the watery depths of Wonderfontein Cave. For those who have not enjoyed this huge and memorable cavern - YOU SHOULD!! It is a fun and exciting trip which, sooner or later according to the meet-leader, will mean getting soaked in this water-filled cave. At least John decided to do it now instead of mid-winter - so be thankful! John Dickie, your meet-leader, will greet you at the Khutsong cross-roads (also signposted for the Eye of Wonderfontein) on the R500 just north of Carletonville at 09h30. If you intend to join this exciting trip - VISITORS ARE WELCOME!!! - please let him know before Saturday lunch-time on 073 985 8068. MOST IMPORTANT: let him know if you will need a helmet and/or light! Gerrie Pretorius will be at Oaktree at 08h30 to collect any members or visitors who would prefer to meet there. If you are one such, please let him know on 084 550 0889,with your contact number, that you will be there so he can make sure to collect you. DO NOT REPLY TO ME!!! CONTACT THE MEET-LEADER or Gerrie. Bring a towel and dry clothes to change into, a chair, your drinks and food for the inevitable braai afterwards. If you need to borrow a club light, make sure you bring three AAA batteries as back-up in case those in the light fail whilst caving - trust me, you do NOT want to be without light underground!!!!!!!!! Most of all - enjoy this great cave, one of the top-six longest caves in Africa! It is a unique and special experience with a fascinating history. Have a great time.
