G'day Mates,

So June is quickly approaching and that would make it 5 years that we have been
in this awesome country, just a pity about the Australians !!! So after having
a cracker of a first year in Aus, with winning the last 4 rounds of the
Adelaide MTB club - Winter Series and getting a 2nd place in the Masters Games
my world slowly fell about with me smashing up my shoulder.

This meant I would have 6 to 8 weeks off the bike which gave me more time to
drink beer......and I can drink beer and it showed in my gut !!!

So to propel myself forward I went to 2 wheels and an engine which as it stands
now is 450 horsepower of pure adrenaline. This meant joining the Ariel MCC of
SA and there motto is......thy shall not straightline and they stay true to
there word. If I had a dollar for everytime I've hit my head on a branch I
would be rich.

This is the tight stuff we ride http://youtu.be/1ML9tMcuGuc

I even attempted 2 rounds of the SA Offroad champs and let me tell you the top
blokes must be super fit http://youtu.be/p1eZSv9r3o4 but due to me starting my
own business I had to pull out ( wink, wink, nudge, nudge )

The trail riding ( motorsikel ) is awesome as we would do 150km to 300km of
single track in one day but I still was needing my fix of pushy ( bicycle )
riding but had no-one to ride with until I saw on the Adelaide MTB club had
befriended a Loius Van Den Berg on there Facebook site, so I started asking
this Loius how he got a surname like that in Aus. Hey, you won't believe me
but he was a Saffa !!!!!

So October last year we met the last race of the winter series where I got my
@ss handed to me on a platter as I was unfit, but I felt good !!!!! Well Loius
and I are riding partners now and ride places like 80 Acres
http://youtu.be/-GXVwwCTqHU which is 5 minutes from home and my favourite
training course, I LOVE IT !!! Then there is Craigburn Farm which is 5 minutes
in the other direction http://youtu.be/Oj-DbexQVGs and you don't have to pay to
ride them !!!

I rode my 1st Classic in about 6 years in Feb in Forrest, Victoria. The Kona
Odyssey ( I did the half marathon - 50km ) - what an awesome race, the size of
the tree ferns, the views, the amount of single track. The 1st race I have
finished and said I have done enough single track for the day !!!!

Well I now have a Giant dually 29" and I am loving it and I am riding my first
enduro next Sunday, will keep you posted !

The Punisher ( yes I have taken a cup of cement and HTFU !!!! )
