Hey a tough one, hope you had some hill climbing training and sleeping in
the fridge. Good luck and enjoy, keep on reminding yourself that you are
having fun.

A mighty achievement and a memory that will always be with you.

There were snow last weekend en route, and masekala measured -12 3 nights
ago

Zurika - enjoy it very much and remember: if there's no ride report, it
didn't happen!

Here's roughly the route that they will be following.

Today: pmb - minerva - hella-hella - mackenzie; 2600+ m vertical ascent
Mild distric road, a loong climb on forest tracks and later singletrack into
minerva, lunch and fire in a tracktor and farm-implement-musuem. Then a
steep downhill, more downhill, a rivercrossing or 2, map interpretations, a
very steep climb up hella-hella, and overnight at Sani2Cs first night.

Tomorrow: mackenzie - donnybrooke - centacow - ntsikeni; 2600+ m vertical
ascent
They'll most likely start in the dark, doing parts of the first day of
Sani2C in reverse. There's some stunning singletrack and forest-cycling into
centacow, then a district road and offroad on cattletracks - the last bit of
uphill cycling on cattletracks to ntsikeni may be in the dark and there may
be rivercrossings.

Friday: ntsikeni - masekala; 1700+ m vertical ascent
They will most likely start in the dark again. Some swamps, some downhills,
a few kays on a district road, lunch at a farmhouse, and then a long climb
over a ridge. A downhill to match, more downhill, and finally some
navigation. If there were any mechanicals during the day, they may arrive
just before or even after dark.

Saturday: masekala - queens mercy - malekonyane in 9 hours with 1000 of
vertical ascent
They'll cycle on a massive plain and then downwards on cattletracks. Some
climbing, mapreading, and if they can find the downhill, a
cattletrack-downhill to a farmhouse, and onwards to malekonyane.

Sunday: malekonyane, tinana, vuvu; around 2000m of vertical ascent
they will most likely start in the dark. some muddy singletrack, then
district road, a climb, some downs, then off into the mountains for more
singletrack, up to black fountain on cattle tracks, and then a natural
bikepark made from cattletracks and wood-drag-trails. A very technical
downhill to tinana mission, then a climb on district road, and then either a
20-something of cobblestone winding up-down never-ending district road, or
hikingtrails to vuvu.

Monday: vuvu-lehana-rhodes; 1500+ m vertical ascent
They may again start in the dark. It's a downhill from vuvu and then up into
lehana - 'n hike-a-bike on cattletracks up the mountain. downhill to the
tenahead lodge, and then down to the top of naudes neck, and then down into
Rhodes.
