Hardy will remember his first time on a tandem (I think)... It was the morning of the 94.7... he piloted Susan (also a blind cyclist), who wasn't fit, but it was her bike and she wanted to experience the 94.7 back then... well, Dark&Dirty peeps made it happen... Hardy didn't talk to me for 3 months after that ... but he survived!!
That's whole event with the three sight-impaired stokers is still one of my most treasured memories of cycling. Yeah Dash the race with you was amazing... imagine what we could have done with a bike that wasn't a medium in front and a small at the back hey?!? Whahahaha. We didn't exactly fit on the bike, but we made it work.... that race was a surreal experience... I still can't believe the speeds we rode at, and I just had to trust you to "do the right thing" in front ...!! wow.
