As only four riders pitched up last week, we decided to do an Urban Bash. All went well until Erasmusrand when I got a puncture. Hey, no problem with tubeless and all that, but it took some time to seal and needed a bit of air. First the valve was blocked, then it would not close after which the pump packed up. A bomb did not work either and then the tyre got glued into a thin, flat mess that we could net get off the rim in order to put in a tube.
At this stage I asked the other three to return to the Moo mall and bring my car. After some objections they agreed and went off while I tried to get the tyre off the rim. I must add that I was at a service station and not out in the bundu. It finally dawned that water would solve the problem and by the time they returned by car, the tyre was fixed, but it was time to go home anyway.
