http://imgur.com/a/539sX The first image is a screenshot of how darktable 2.x interprets the split toning settings from an image developed in 2011. This problem started closer to 2011 than 2016, although I can't recall with which version of darktable it was introduced. Second image is a split view of the exported PNG from 2011 and the current presentation of the DNG in darktable. Screenshot is of darktable itself. Attached is the .XMP file. BTW, I've been quite impressed with darktable's backwards compatibility over this long time span.
