The solution is the same as the last few times this was asked:
darktable needs to be rebuilt against that gtk version. that needs to be either
done by the ubuntu, or by user. If the problem happens on a fresh clean install
with no PPA's, then i think someone eventually should report that to ubuntu.
good news. Recompiling darktable again is not a big deal. I thought
there was some kind of source incompatibility in different gtk versions.
