I mostly use the saturation slider in the "Color Correction" module, since
that is the only way to get an untinted grayscale image whether or not
tinting has been applied through the module.

I have also used the "Channel Mixer" module a few times for trickier
desaturation operations, although I have not used the ready-made "B/W"
presets.
