[darktable-dev] How does the cache hash get calculated?

Hello everybody,

 

within the cache directory there is a directory for the thumbnail images that contains a hash code. Can anybody tell me what this hash code is based on?

 

In my case the library is either located within a symlink or a mount point of an overlay fs. Nonetheless the path and the library files are the same. Anyhow this seems to cause a different hash code as darktable wants to recreate all thumbnails and creates a different thumbnail directory.
