First up, this is a question more for the darktable-user list, not the dev list.
But now that we're here...
No, dt does not offer the ability to remove files from the memory card.
And conventional wisdom says you really shouldn't wipe your memory card with your computer either. Ideally, you would wipe it from your camera. Also, it's not a good idea to ever partially wipe a card (not sure if you were doing that or not) either, as that leaves a fragmented storage unit which will mean at some point, your camera is having to split an image up across multiple areas of the card.

just want to add an aspect that has not yet been mentioned here:

Deleting images from the SD card using a file manager or similar tool can bring the SD card into an inconstant state. Some cameras (e.g. Sony cameras) maintain some database files in parallel to the image files, which get corrupted when images are erased by other means than deleting the images in-camera.

Therefore, I always delete images in-camera only. When I am running out of storage, the oldest images are deleted in-camera via a bulk delete. Keeping images a while on the SD card (and not formatting the card) gives me kind of a backup of my most recent images.

Regards,

Heiko
