Background of this test: if your whole system freezes this could
indicate a hardware problem. Some of our opencl modules (e.g. nlmeans)
put a high performance burden on your GPU. This could lead to dropping
voltage or thermal problems, both could explain your observation.

At least based on your test, this is not the obvious cause.

My main problem now is that I have no clue at what position your system
breaks down. Your original logs only contain the initialization code of
opencl, and that looks perfectly OK to me.

I would need to see the output of '-d opencl -d perf' when DT is
actually running an export. Did you try to generate this? You might want
to switch your fs into sync mode and run DT with

stdbuf -i0 -o0 -e0 darktable -d opencl -d perf > dt.log
