It is only HTML/CSS/JavaScript/GIF/PNG - so like the current solution.

galleria.io and jQuery are released under the MIT license (PROVIDED "AS
IS"). The galleria.io work is funded by commercial theme implementations.

The work I did is based on an older version of galleria.io which had a
MIT licensed fullscreen theme - in order to see the original image size
you'll have to right-click and "View image"; not optimal, but works.

Ideally darktable should have a dedicated galleria.io theme
implementation (JavaScript/CSS). Maybe even multiple different ones -
there should be enough for a "web" module giving users an option to
choose their favorite :)

However, my web-fu skills are limited, but if there are people with
HTML/CSS/JavaScript/galleria.io knowledge out there I would be happy to
work with them in order to merge their work into dt.

Best regards,
  Jesper
