Heey Max, I'm glad you did it. The presets you have seen comes from graphs similar to those of the blog.
However, the raw images are taken on a cloudy day even though the histograms nicely and neatly divided among under and overexposed the result gives an excessive noise suppression. I was planning to repeat the measurements asap. As soon as I get home, I will try your results.
