I just checked, it seems we already have an enhanced matrix for the
D800, and using the test images I have here it looks pretty decent.

Do mind, that Darktable does nothing with Nikon Active Dlight etc, so
that could cause a discrepancy. So any comparison where Active Dlight
was turned on, is invalid.

Do also mind the decent display part...

Even when calibrated, many laptop displays are still hardly usable to
do proper color assessment.
