I can confirm that the crop module behaves strangely for about two days now (always using the git version). For example, the grid is (most of the time) not shown on the picture when I open the crop/rotate module even though a grid is activated. Only, when I start to move the picture borders, a grid is drawn. In some cases, a very small grid (approx 1/100 of the picture size) is drawn in the upper left corner. Using the crop/rotate module a second time on a picture shows random effects. I checked some pictures where I cropped with an exchanged width:height ratio (landscape <-> portrait). Opening the crop/rotate module for these pictures again showed ... I stop the description here, because you just need to open/close the module several times to see the mess (loosing/shifting the cropped area). If I open/close the crop/rotate module quickly, I can force the problems to appear.
