I've noticed that the denoise (bilater filter) module active slow down
every other active module.
As an example, changing exposure level in the exposure module, with the
bilateral filter module active, will take up to ten seconds to show
result (with raw file at 800-1250 iso). Even the white balance module
will take seconds to show a change in the tint level.
Without the denoise module active, changing the exposure level show the
result in less than a second - immediately; same behaviour with the
white balance module.
I made these tests with every other modules deactivated.
Noticed with PEF files at different iso (seems that at lower iso the
slow down is smaller but present)

on AMD Athlon II X4 640 at 3Ghz and Ubuntu 12.10 64bit
