Hi.
I had the same problem with the black image. You have to paste the content of
your presets.txt into the noiseprofiles.h file located in the `darktable source
folder/src/common` folder and then build and install darktable from source.

I updated darktable to latest git (as of today) and then created a new user to
start with a complete empty profile.
Note: Without start darktable at least once the gen-profile script will not
work. So i just started darktable once to create a default configuration.
I started the gen-profile script on my latest test-shots/version 2 and i got no
errors. Results are attached to this mail.
I started darktable using => darktable --library ./library.db but when i try to
enable the denoise/profiled-module all i get is a black image. Select a preset
seem to make no difference (also a black image).
Note: ISO102400 seem to be stored as ISO65535 and darktable will interpolate
the profile from 51200 and 102400. Looks like the exif-data cannot handle ISO >
65535 (i saw something similar on nikon-images, so this is not canon-specific).
When i have some time i'll try to create new test shots, maybe these images are
just bad.
