??? don't understand what you meant. dragging an image out of the
filmstrip but where? If drag out of the filmstrip and into the map it
place the image at the pointed location. If dragged out of the filmstrip
everywhere else it does nothing.

Right.

And as I said, deleting the GPS data can be done by dragging the image
back into the filmstrip.

And of course this can be undone with the undo/redo support.
