Yes, and I think I have found the problem - the default setting on the export module appears to be "latex book template", and SalixOS does not install LaTex, tetex or texlive by default :-( Not using the "primary e" command, but going through the export module and setting the output to "file on disk" allowed the "primary e" key combination to work.
