I am using the 1.2rc2 prebuild binary on OS X. I don't have time today to do a build on Linux but I'll see if I can test this over the weekend. This should be fixed in git master, if you > have "found match .." or "interpolated from .." in the dropdown list > selected, and then if you either copy this or save this as a style or > preset, it will be saved as "autodetect this" when applying it somewhere > else next time, at least it should, when using git master. > >> Basically a way for a stored preset to exclude certain control of the >> plugin to become part of the preset (similar to being able to exclude a >> module when creating a style). > > Would this make sense somewhere else than with denoiseprofile or > something else that autodetects? Do you have any other usecases? Of course, dozens. :] Because the use case is not only applying a preset by default but also applying a preset w/o loosing certain tweaks I have already made. Think about 'color zones' or 'equalizer'. Maybe I only want a setting for one of the three tabs saved, i.e. only 'lightness', so I keep the other two as adjusted by the user, when applying it. For 'split toning' I may want to store a bunch of 2-color schemes (incl. 'compression') but not necessarily affect 'balance' when applying/trying them, as 'balance' is often highly image-dependent. 'graduated density' is another contender for storing presets that only contain 'hue' and 'saturation' but not the rest of the widgets. If my workflow is always: 1. find & apply preset, 2. tweak, the feature is not needed. But often the workflow is: 1. find & apply preset, 2. tweak, 3. find & apply other preset, 4. tweak, ... Currently this makes me loose all my tweaks on those widgets of a module that I do not want to be affected by the preset. So I guess ultimately you also want control over which parts of a preset to take when applying it. But fir starters, just being able to decide just to store certain widgets would be nice already. Do I make sense? :P .mm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Minimize network downtime and maximize team effectiveness.
