Hi Nazarii,

there is no special string freeze file. This only means there will be no
more commits changing any strings and therefore breaking translation again.

So if you want to provide an up-to-date version of the Uk translation
for the stable branch do the following:

$ git checkout darktable-1.2.x
$ git pull
# make your changes
$ git commit -a
$ git push

so in principle the same as always, gut check out the right branch
before starting to edit the file.
