that's probably black frame subtraction for > 1sec exposures. if you stick
to shorter exposures than that you should be fine.
the profiling doesn't take black frames/long exposures into account, the
hope is that it'll transparently work once you got rid of the sensor heat
noise by subtracting the black frame. that requires that you profile it
with short exposures though.
