Hi there
reading over Pascal's blog i came across this post-
https://blog.pcode.nl/2010/06/28/darktable-camera-color-profiling/ where
it's mentioned "at this point I highly prefer for users to make
properly exposed
RAW chart images available to us, so I can do the calculations."
there exists a wealth of these RAW images at http://www.imaging-resource.com.
the Rawstudio project used these files as references for creating their
bundled DNG profiles: http://rawstudio.org/blog/?p=798. of course if DNG
support was integrated into darktable, Rawstudio's profiles could be used,
but if this isn't on the to-do list then ICC profiles could be generated
from imaging resource's RAW images by the dev team.
Darktable's default profile does render color quite differently to my
profiled canon 550D.
Thanks,
Jon
