Ok, I had a proper look and it turns out the version in Wheezy is pretty
ancient. I'm mostly developing on Ubuntu Saucy these days which has
version 0.3.0-3, which is the same as Debian Sid (
http://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=libwebp4). How is everyone else
handling versioning of external libraries? Should we be aiming for
compatibility towards Debian stable or Ubuntu in general? I'm not sure how
to properly handle this case, any suggestions are welcome.
