if there is an API in C I could map it to lua, but "regenerating
thumbnails" sounds a bit too much like a bug workaround and i'd rather not
have lua be a way to work around bugs...
tweak the DT UI to your liking, yes, working around bugs, no...
and as you said... we are in feature freeze anyway.
