The way that the 'L'  tone curve adjusts is fine; it allows fairly 
simple overall curve movement but still permits local 'blips' as needed. 
However the 'a' and 'b' curves are very fussy and are hard and very time 
consuming to use. Trying to make small overall adjustments with the a 
and b curves are akin to pushing a length of string .. frustrating.

Would it be possible to use the 'L' algorithm for all three of the curves?
