Thanks for the reply. I already tried this option, unfortunately it didn't
help. It makes the preview look like the dark table processing and not the
in-camera processing but the fuzziness is still there . And as soon as I make
any changes to the RAW, the embedded preview isn't used anymore anyway.

don't use embedded preview jpeg but half-size raw
Check this option to not use the embedded jpeg from the raw file but
process the raw data. This is slower but gives you color managed
thumbnails (default off).
