Could we *please* validate tags at import by ensuring that the first
element of a tag is a character and not numeric?
This wouls avoid garbage being imported into the data base..

Some of my very old images (mainly tiff format and probably
originating in Digikam) show up in dt with massive tags that totally
bogs down my system. Attached is an example of one tag that is so
large that I am unable to even get to the delete button on the window.
This problem was totally solved for some time but dt now appears to be
reading the meta-data in a different way. The problem shows-up on my
system when I do a full system reinstall and need to reread all of my
images.
With difficulty, I can try to individually delete these tags but I
think there must be a better way.
