Hi! Just tried to geotag a bunch of images and stumbled across the very important setting of "camera time zone"... There're some issues here I think, while the rest of the module is done very nicely. :)
- Manual: The pages on geotagging in the usermanual are quite short, and the camera time zone setting is not mentioned at all, though it is really important for things to work (unless you're on UTC all the time). Robert mentioned it in his video, though, that's why I found it at all. Without this tutorial it is a bit strange that you apply a geotag to the very photo of your tracker and you don't get the proper location assigned. ;) - Location: the "camera time zone" is set on the gpx import dialogue. First of all it is easily missed there as you'd not suspect it there. You corrected the time difference on the module, right? Therefore, I'd suggest to move it to the gpx module as it is a global setting and usually does not apply to the individual gpx track, but to the camera. So IMHO it's not in a logically correct position, you'd even not search for it there. I think here a word in the manual would be ok as well, and probably even what you are correcting here and which times you should use. - Selection: this selector has a slight usability issue if you're not living in Asia. "Unfortunately" a lot of people live there so there're a lot of cities ;) Luckily, this selector remembers its settings. Anyway, the control should allow for at least "first letter scroll to". (Say if I hit "e" I leave Asia and entered Europe.) - Daylight savings time. I went for try and error, but I was not sure about whether I should search for "Europe/Berlin (DST)" somewhere down below. -- Kind regards, / War is Peace. | Freedom is Slavery.
