Hello all,

I am using Darkable, built from git, on my Fedora x64 system and profiling
images from my Nikon D40 does not work properly.
When I run the gen-profiles script from the folder where the exported images
are located, it fails with the following output:

####
[sun@localhost noise]$ /home/sun/Software/darktable/tools/noise/gen-profile -d .
===> Check for required tools
--> Check for images handling tools availability
--> Check for images export tools availability
--> Check for profiling tools availability

make: Für das Ziel »all« ist nichts zu tun.
make: Leaving directory `/home/sun/Software/darktable/tools/noise'
--> Check for tethering tools availability
ERROR: gphoto2 not found

gphoto2 is needed if you want this script to automatically take the
required pictures.

NOTE: Tethering tools are missing; you'll need to provide input images
yourself.

NOTE: This process takes some time and a lot of memory and disc space
(up-to several gigabytes, depending on the number of ISO settings and
the size of the RAW files.

Cannot open presets file: ./presets.txt

#####

The folder is writeable by everyone though. If I create the presets.txt file
manually, the script deletes it and aborts with the same error.
Running the script as root takes me one step further, but then it complains
that darktable-cli wasn´t installed, though it is installed in fact and
executable by running darktable-cli from terminal. So I have installed
darktable via yum from the repositories for testing purposes and the error has
gone for some reason. Seems that manually built darktable-cli installation is
not detected properly.
Now finally there is an error:

ERROR: Please run darktable at least once to create an initial library
or copy some valid library to ./library.db manually before running this
script. This is needed to setup a testing environment for your new
presets.

Yet, I have run darktable before and ~/.config/darkable/library.db does exist.
Manually copying it into the images folder does not help. I have also tried it
by deleting the old library and creating a fresh one with both my build and the
repository version of darktable, but still no luck :(

I hope that there is some fix for those problems? Seems strange that I am the
only one encountering those?

Cheers,
Björn
