thanks for the announcement! It's been a while that you hear from me, but I really wanted to have my defringe iop (= LCA correction, desaturating highly saturated edges in a specific way) in the next release, because I already have this floating around here since very long. An early version was also tested already by jo and others over a year ago and some suggestions incorporated... Unfortunately I couldn't improve as much as I wanted. The things that always held me back to send a new pull request were: 1. no OpenCL code written 2. as I am still not 100% happy how good it works for some specific pictures, there could be improvements in the future. As soon as I would make those, the iop would probably not be upgradeable and require a new one. I tried to prevent that by looking into improvements already, but maybe it should just be merged now, before it never happens... Other than that, if nothing gets extremely broken from rebasing, I could give you a pull request for an otherwise fine iop on Saturday or Sunday. The documentation will then be done the weekend after. For the OpenCL code: I first need to learn that, so I guess it will become christmas vacation time until it's done, but it shouldn't be too critical to not have it from the start? Does it sound reasonable to still take this iop for 1.6, or am I already too late again?
