thanks, pushed to master.
your fits are okay, since the bright regions only contain a few pixels in
your image the fit prefers the dark parts of the curve. which means the
profile might leave some more noise in brighter regions, which might not
look disturbing at all. if you're testing the git version and have any
issues with the profile let us know.
