 Speaking for myself only, part of the reason I want to see this sort
of information is to learn from it. If I consistently dial in -1/3 EV
exposure compensation but then consistently find myself raising the
exposure in post-processing, I probably can stop doing the exposure
compensation. There's a fair amount of camera settings that I can learn
from in this way.

(I'd also like to see at least flash used / flash not used, because
that tells me something about what the nominally correct white balance
is likely to be. And I'd like to see flash exposure compensation for
similar reasons to the main EV.)

 In theory I could check this information outside of darktable. In
practice that makes workflow much more difficult; I would have to
process the photo, then remember to look at the base settings afterwards
and correlate them with the processing changes I had to make. It is
much simpler for me to get feedback if I can look over to the exposure
compensation setting as I'm adjusting exposure in the exposure module.
