Hi, ooooookay.
First things first: I back home and can confirm the problem being present in the stable darktable ppa for ubuntu. Yes, it does where it does. As far as I can see it's present with Olympus Four Thirds camera/lens combinations, but not for Micro Four Thirds. (And it doesn't concern other makes.) As in january I cannot tell what happens with FT Olympus lenses on MFT Olympus bodies. So, if it works for you, Berhard, I assume you didn't test it with Four Thirds hardware. If indeed you did, this could be quite interesting. > Matthias Moebius schrieb am 17.12.2014 um 15:10: >> I have two systems running, on the test system I did compile the >> 0.3.0-Version. I will have a look how LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set. Sounds good and should work, but ... https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/blob/darktable-1.6.x/src/common/exif.cc, line 548 shows that the new behaviour is only present if lensfun > 0.2.8 is present at compile time. Why that is, i cannot explain. The weird exif behaviour in FT camera/lenses doesn't depend on the lensfun version. Yes, there had to be made some changes to the lensfun database as well to match the actual content of the exif data, but (a) this worked just fine with lensfun 2.8.0 and a change to the xml data files and (b) using the corrected way for exif with an old lensfun data library didn't break anything that wasn't broken before. So, I haven't tried it out, this comes from readin the code, but as far as I can tell everything should work fine when compiling lensfun 0.3.0 first and then compiling darktable angainst that. I'll try it at once, but I hope that this helped. Cheers, Jan Niklas PS: On a personal note, I just migrated my work station to the newest mint release to be able to use the ppa packages and have an out-of-the-box solution again. Seems, I'll have to wait for that till the ppa version for lensfun is upgraded to 0.3.0. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download BIRT iHub F-Type - The Free Enterprise-Grade BIRT Server from Actuate!
