I don't see the problem, sorry.
This on Linux Mint 17, darktable 1.6.1
When importing to darktable it says Camera White Balance is 7424K - when
I set it manually to the center of the white wall it gives me 7300K,
both settings look "white" to me on a calibrated monitor.
JPG Output is the same.
I used Gpick to read the screen colors of both the NEF in darktable and
the output jpg in xnviewMP and all three channels are within 3...4
digits equal - so the wall indeed is neutral.
From that the conclusion is: Your File is ok, the camera set WB is ok.
First thing I would check is if there is a color shift in your display.
I'll send you my jpg per mail directly, so you can check and also upload
to your space.
Second thing: is there any difference in color management between linux
and mac? I don't know.
regards
Bernhard

An example of such NEF file can be found here http://ge.tt/8YKkJn72 (i guess
it's not good to send a NEF file into mailing list).
The problem actually is described in a subject. Preview in Darktable 1.6 for OS
X looks yellow and exported JPG too. Tried many combinations of different color
profile options etc - nothing helps.
How can I help you more to resolve the issue?
Best regards,
Taras Kushnir.
