Hi, since this is in active development, I thought I'd quickly share the things I've discovered that don't quite seem right.
Unfortunately, I don't have the first clue about gtk3 css. I've looked at darktable.css, and while I can parse and understand what the settings mean, I've a hard time quickly figuring out what corresponds to what. I might, given enouch time to dig and figure it out (or if it's documented somewhere, please point it out). Anyhow, I gave the gtk3 implementation a shot, and immediately ran into quite a number of issues. I've a few screenshots to demonstrate, all in http://richard.levitte.org/~levitte/for-darktable/ dt-en1.png - shows lighttable, which has a fairly nice format, but I'm noticing that the panels have no scroll bars, and I noticed that they aren't reacting to the mouse wheel unless I click in the area of the panel or where its scroll bar is supposed to be. Also, it disturbs me a little that the area where there are supposed to be styles to choose from is the same grey as the surrounding area. In pre-gkt3, that area is a different grey, making it more obvious that there could be something to choose from in there. dt-en2.png - shows darkroom, and the obvious thing is that the right panel hasn't been made to fit the modules. I assume that it's because of the loooong "contrast brightness saturation" title. And while I can live with that, it does pose some functional problems, as demonstrated by: dt-en3.png - shows darkroom with the levels module expanded. As you can see, it is a bit difficult to use properly for the white end. Now, over to swedish: dt-sv1.png - this is lighttable, and gods! is the right panel huge! I assume, however, that this is due to the fairly long translation of "write sidecar files". So all right, fine, I might figure out a way to deal with that by shortening the translation, but... dt-sv2.png - this is darkroom, and this right panel is absurd, there's nothing that really explains why... there's even extra room with the longest title (the translation of "contrast brightness saturation"). This, as well as the too small right panel in dt-en[23].png, indicates that there's a co-dependency between different views as far as panel sizes go. I normally start with the lighttable view, and it seems that the size of the right panel there affects the right panel size in the darkroom view. Is that intended? If this has any impact, I use ctwm for window management, not one of the newer desktop systems.
