Can't they be installed in parallel? On Debian I have 5.1 and 5.2 installed, so maybe that works with 5.3, too? If that isn't an option you can do as Robert suggested and pass -DDONT_USE_INTERNAL_LUA=Off to cmake. That being said I like the idea to switch to Lua 5.3 at some point because it starts to support UTF8 which will be handy once we add GUI support to our Lua API. Tobias
