I have noticed this change also when working in a new Catalan
translation for the user manual, as I pointed here some time ago:

The strings in darktable-usermanual.pot do not change, but many
references to local files in translator's computer are added.

I think 'doc/usermanual/po/darktable-usermanual.pot' should be added to
'.gitignore' file to avoid it.
