As far as I know it's possible to examine this in DT today, but it's
awkward. To see more or less the true RAW data range you need to disable
the base curve and set the white balance coefficients to 1.00 / 1.00 /
1.00 (which will make the typical picture look very green).
I think that a more natural place for this to live would be in an
augmented version of the colour picker stuff, but that's probably a
long way off even if people agree with me.
