I have been experiencing some odd delays when using Darktable's "collect images" panel to collect images by tag. Any other sort of image-collection operation (e.g., by film roll or color label) finishes pretty much instantly, but anything to do with tags (even selecting the "tag" option in the panel or changing a color label on an image in a tag-based collection) causes the application to become non-responsive for seconds at a stretch, consuming large quantities of CPU and memory in the interim.
I can reproduce this behavior with more than one Darktable version (1.6.9, 2.0.2) and operating system (Fedora, OS X). However, it only occurs with one specific photo database -- I have another database with ~25 times the number of images and about the same number of tags, and collection by tag works normally with that. Can anybody hazard a guess as to what is causing this and/or how to work around it? -- August Schwerdfeger [email protected] ____________________________________________________________________________ darktable user mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to [email protected]
