This has been covered a lot of times. Usually switching to English
language (ui_last/gui_language=C) helps with this problem. Also check
panel size (panel_width=350) and you can try to set DPI
(screen_dpi_overwrite=72.0). (Cited settings are in
~/.config/darktable/darktablerc).
