Nothing has changed since the last few times this was asked here.

Until rows "2D image read", "2D image write" on
https://dri.freedesktop.org/wiki/GalliumCompute/
for that specific driver are "WIP", "MOSTLY" or "DONE",
it will DEFINITELY not work.
